O Occupy Wall Street é um protesto contra a desigualdade social e a forte influência de grandes empresas nas diretrizes da economia do governo norte-americano.
Iniciado no dia 17 de setembro de 2011, no Zuccotti Park, em Nova Iorque, até hoje segue mobilizando diversas pessoas em todo o mundo.
Um dos símbolos do Occupy foi o personagem V, da graphic novel V de Vingança, escrita por Alan Moore, que se mostrou a favor dos manifestantes.
Isso bastou para que fossem pensadas diversas histórias em quadrinhos sobre o movimento, numa coletânea batizada deOccupy Comics, financiada através do crowdfunding.

Na webstore do Occupy Comics entrou em pré-venda a edição limitada, em capa dura, que inclui a capa feita por Art Spiegelman, trabalhos de Charlie Adlard, Michael Allred, Amanda Palmer e Alan Moore, além de um dvd, ao preço de 80 dólares.
Essa edição especial será lançada no mês de setembro, no aniversário de um ano do movimento.
